These are free week-long eye care camps with held primarily in rural communities and in partnership with regional/referral hospitals. At the eye camps, major activities like eye screening, eye treatments and eye operations have been done. During these activities, various eye conditions are observed including cataract, trachoma, vitamin A deficiency, glaucoma, corneal injuries, hyperopic, myopia and presbyopia.
Treatment is usually provided in the mobile clinics and outreach clinics. Where patients are identified with cataract, operations are arranged with the nearest hospital.
